VISA ON ARRIVAL

German citizens also can apply for an authorisation for a Visa on Arrival online before travelling. At the point of entry, further personal data from the traveller (e.g. fingerprints) are then recorded and the visa is then entered into the passport.

An entry with this visa is only possible at the airport Douala and Yaoundé.

Cameroon e-Customs Declaration

Cameroon has introduced the so-called CMR Customs Declaration App. A mobile application that automates and therefore simplifies customs clearance on entry.

The app is available on Google Play and in the App Store. It now replaces the paper forms previously provided to travellers by the airlines.

Passengers travelling to Cameroon must download the app before departure to generate the mandatory customs declaration.

Data such as flight number, name, passport number, pieces of luggage carried, currencies and other relevant information are recorded via the app application. Once recorded, travellers receive a reference number in the form of a QR code, which must be presented to customs officials on arrival. The country's international airports Maroua Salak, Yaounde Nsimalen, Douala and Garoua have been equipped with electronic declaration terminals in the customs control area for this purpose.

Please note that airlines are increasingly requesting proof of customs declaration at check-in.
